The 2025 Ford Shelby GT350 is here, and it’s a game-changer. Inspired by the seventh-generation Ford Mustang, this vehicle brings next-level performance and cutting-edge design to the legendary GT350 nameplate. Shelby American has truly outdone itself with this model, delivering a car worthy of its 60-year legacy.

Unveiled at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, the new GT350 celebrates the 60th anniversary of the original. With a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 pushing up to 810 horsepower, this is the most powerful GT350 yet. There’s also a naturally aspirated version delivering 480 horsepower, catering to a wider range of enthusiasts. Meanwhile, the track-oriented GT350R raises the bar even higher, boasting 830 horsepower and advanced racing components for serious performance on the circuit. Shelby offers the option of either a 10-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission for the standard model, but the GT350R sticks to purist ideals with a manual-only setup.

Standard features for the GT350 include 20-inch forged wheels, Borla cat-back exhaust, and aerodynamic enhancements like a vented aluminum hood and a three-piece front splitter. Shelby doesn’t compromise when it comes to handling, fitting suspension lowering springs and front-and-rear sway bars for tighter performance dynamics.

But the real story lies within the GT350R. The track-ready sibling draws from race cars being developed for the Trans Am racing series, infused with serious engineering know-how. Track-specific upgrades include a tuned suspension by JRI, Alcon Racing brake systems, lightweight Forgeline wheels, and carbon-fiber body parts. Inside, carbon-fiber reinforcements and a half cage ensure both the rigidity and driver safety expected of a competition-grade machine.

Shelby’s nostalgic touch remains evident. The brand hasn’t forgotten its roots, offering the GT350 and GT350R in classic white with stripe options, reminiscent of the original 1965 Shelby race cars. Buyers can select signature blue stripes or alternative schemes, including a sleek gold, silver, and black combination.

Production is strictly limited, adding to the exclusivity. Matching the production numbers of the 1965 GT350, only 562 units of the GT350 and 36 units of the GT350R will roll off the assembly line. For international markets, additional limited units will be made by authorized distributors, ensuring fans worldwide get access to this automotive legend.
