Wheel Front Ltd. Liability Company (“Wheel Front,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides this California Notice at Collection pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
The purpose of this notice is to inform California residents (“consumers” or “you”) about the categories of personal information we collect about you when you use our marketplace, and the business or commercial purposes for which that information is used.
Categories of Personal Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with the Wheel Front platform (e.g., browsing, registering as a private seller, creating a brand account, or entering an escrow transaction), we may collect the following categories of personal information:
Identifiers: Real name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol (IP) address, email address, account name, or other similar identifiers.
Customer Records (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)): Telephone number, billing address, and shipping address.
Commercial Information: Records of personal property (e.g., wheel specifications, vehicle references), products or services purchased, obtained, or considered, or other purchasing or consuming histories or tendencies.
Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity Information: Browsing history, search history, and information regarding your interaction with our website, application, or advertisements.
Geolocation Data: General location data (e.g., derived from your IP address or shipping postal code) to estimate shipping costs.
Sensitive Personal Information: To process escrow payments and comply with federal Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, our third-party payment processor (Trustap) collects Government-issued identification (e.g., driver’s license or passport) and financial account information (e.g., bank account details). Wheel Front does not directly store your sensitive financial or KYC data on our servers.
Purposes for Collecting Personal Information
We use the personal information collected above for the following business and commercial purposes:
To Fulfill Transactions: To facilitate the escrow process, calculate shipping via our logistics partners (e.g., Shippo), and ensure the secure transfer of funds and goods between buyers and sellers.
Account Management: To create, maintain, customize, and secure your Wheel Front account.
Fraud Prevention & Security: To verify the identity of sellers (KYC) through our payment partners, prevent fraudulent listings, and protect the financial integrity of the marketplace.
Customer Support: To provide support, arbitrate disputes between buyers and sellers, and respond to inquiries.
Platform Improvement: To analyze how users interact with our marketplace, improve search filters, and enhance the overall user experience.
Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
Wheel Front does not sell your personal information for monetary compensation.
We may “share” certain limited data (such as identifiers and internet activity) with third-party service providers (like Trustap for escrow, Shippo for shipping, or analytics providers) strictly to facilitate the services of our marketplace. You have the right to opt-out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, which you can exercise by adjusting your cookie preferences on our site.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, or as reasonably necessary to fulfill the business purposes outlined in this notice, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with our legal and tax obligations. Once the data is no longer necessary, it is securely deleted or anonymized.
