Volvo Car USA has rolled out pricing details for its 2025 lineup in the U.S., featuring two all-electric SUVs: the Volvo EX90 and EX30. These models mark a major step forward in Volvo’s journey towards full electrification while meeting the demands of modern luxury.
The Volvo EX90, unveiled in November 2022, is redefining SUV safety and sustainability. Being a seven-seater, it blends Scandinavian elegance with advanced technology. Built on a purpose-designed electric platform, it delivers up to 310 miles of range—a top-tier option for families seeking comfort without compromising eco-friendliness. Impressively fast-charging, it can juice up from 10% to 80% in just about 30 minutes. Elegance and utility meet in this model, starting from $79,995 MSRP, and exclusively made in Charleston, South Carolina.
Meanwhile, the Volvo EX30 has proven to be a hot-selling sensation in Europe since its reveal in June 2023. Now debuting in the U.S., it’s making moves as the most accessible Volvo EV, starting at $44,900 MSRP. The 422-hp EX30 Twin Motor Performance edition offers all-wheel drive and head-turning acceleration, making it the quickest Volvo to date. With a range of 253 miles and a fast-charging capability of up to 153 kW, it handles the road and recharges with ease.
Volvo’s smaller SUV, the EX40, also joins the all-electric lineup with a sleek rebranding. The former XC40 Recharge now becomes EX40, aligning perfectly alongside the EX30 and EX90. Enhancements include a larger 82 kWh battery for the Twin Motor version and an increased charging rate to 205 kW DC, ensuring even more efficiency for on-the-go users.
Volvo’s flagship hybrid SUV XC90 continues its dominance with a revamped 2025 model. Updates refine its design, connectivity, and drivability. The new configurations bring 33 miles of electric-only range and enhanced plug-in hybrid capability, combining performance with lower emissions. The latest model benefits from modern design elements like the iconic Thor’s Hammer headlights, improved sound insulation, and advanced chassis technology for a smooth ride. Starting at $58,450 MSRP, this hybrid SUV mixes power and practicality.
Volvo also simplifies its naming strategy across plug-in hybrid models. The “Recharge” badge is dropped, making room for straightforward T8 badging. This change ensures customers can quickly distinguish between fully electric and hybrid options in the lineup.
