The biggest number in Mazda’s Winter Sales Event is $3,000, and only one vehicle gets it. The CX-50 in PYT trim, the top of that model’s range, carries triple the customer cash of nearly everything else on the list.

Mazda North American Operations announced the program November 4, a day after it had already started. It runs through January 4, 2027, at participating dealers among the roughly 795 Mazda stores in its North American territory.

Read the fine print and the deal shrinks fast. The release promises savings of “up to $3,000” across Mazda’s crossover lineup, but most buyers will see a third of that.

The $1,000 tier covers the CX-30 in all trims, the CX-5 in 2.5, SE and PF trims, the CX-50 in PY trim, and the CX-50 Hybrid in PF trim. That’s the bulk of the offer.

The CX-50 Hybrid gets $1,500 in its PR and PP trims. Then comes the lone $3,000 offer on the CX-50 PYT.

So the deepest discount goes to an upper trim, not an entry model. Walk in for a base CX-50 and you get $1,000, but step up to the PYT and you get $3,000. Mazda is paying people to buy more car.

The financing follows the same logic, and it doesn’t favor the cheapest crossover in the showroom.

The CX-30, Mazda’s smallest crossover, gets the worst rates in the program: 2.9 percent APR for 36 months, 3.9 percent for 60 months and 4.9 percent for 72 months. There’s no zero-percent deal for it at all.

The CX-5 sits at the other end. Depending on market and trim, buyers can find 0 percent for 36 months, 0 percent for 60 months on select trims and markets, and 1.9 percent for 60 or 72 months.

The CX-50 lands in between at 0 percent for 36 months, 1.9 percent for 60 months and 2.9 percent for 72 months.

That gap shows up in the monthly payment. A CX-30 buyer stretching to 72 months pays 4.9 percent, while a CX-5 buyer in the right market finances the same term at 1.9 percent. Three points on a six-year loan is real money.

Watch the wording on the CX-5. Phrases like “rates vary by market and trim” and “on select trims/markets” mean that 0 percent for 60 months is not a nationwide promise, so call your local dealer before you get excited.

Then there’s the CX-90. Mazda’s three-row flagship shows up in the event’s promotional artwork alongside the CX-5 and CX-50, but it’s nowhere in the customer cash list or the financing breakdown.

Mazda doesn’t explain why. The release lists offers on 2026 model year vehicles, and the CX-90 simply isn’t among them.

Mazda wraps the whole thing in winter weather messaging, pointing out that its crossovers come with standard i-Activ AWD for “all winter conditions.” That’s a fair pitch in the snow belt. It’s also something you get with or without the incentive.

The offers apply to 2026 model year inventory, and you can’t stack the cash and the rates. The release frames them as customer cash “or” low APR financing, with full eligibility rules posted on MazdaUSA.com.

Dealers have until January 4 to move the metal. The clock started a day before anyone announced it.
