The 2025 Singapore Auto Show has become a battleground for luxury automakers, and BMW Group stepped in with a dazzling lineup of premieres catered to this unique market. Singapore’s staggering car taxes make it one of the most expensive places in the world to own a vehicle, and BMW isn’t holding back with its offerings.
Take the BMW M5, for example. Its price tag soars to an astonishing $556,000. Even the compact and sporty BMW M2 isn’t spared, priced at approximately $383,000. For context, the entry-level BMW 116, equipped with a modest three-cylinder engine producing just 120 horsepower, costs nearly $160,000.

The range-topping BMW X3 M50 xDrive, another star of the show, showcases opulence and power. This model represents the peak of the new “G45” X3 lineup, as BMW has officially moved away from manufacturing the full-fat X3 M with gasoline engines.
Joining the luxurious display is a limited-edition BMW 530i Signature Edition Sedan, based on the 5 Series. Equipped with the M Sport Package, this exclusive model is enhanced with beautiful Grey Blue open-pore fine-wood trim. Exclusivity is the theme here, with only 60 units to be produced.
BMW isn’t alone in the limelight, as MINI takes center stage with a lively presentation. The event marked the local debut of the MINI Cooper S Convertible, radiating its classic sporty charm. Accompanying the open-air fun are the versatile MINI Aceman and Countryman crossovers.
This year also holds special significance for BMW Group Asia as it celebrates its 40th anniversary in the Singapore market—a testament to its longstanding success and influence in the region.
