Geely’s commercial vehicles arm, Farizon, is gearing up to make its debut in the UK market with the Farizon SV Supervan. This electric van is set to compete with the Ford E-Transit Custom and the Vauxhall Vivaro Electric. Based on a platform specifically designed for electric vehicles, the Farizon SV showcases a unique architecture with batteries placed under the floor of the cargo bay.

The Farizon SV will be available in three different body lengths and heights, catering to a variety of cargo needs. The range includes a smaller version measuring 4.99m long and 1.98m tall, a middle variant at 5.49m long and 2.18m tall, and the largest option at 5.95m long and 2.5m tall. By comparison, the E-Transit Custom offers one height option (1.97m tall) and two lengths (5.05m and 5.45m).

With payload capacities ranging from 1100kg to 1300kg, the Supervan delivers practical and efficient cargo solutions. The cargo bay offers volumes from 6.9 cubic metres to 13 cubic metres, ensuring ample space for a variety of needs.

At launch, two battery options will be available: 67kWh and 83kWh. The 83kWh battery is estimated to provide a range of 225 miles on a single charge, with a larger 106kWh battery pack in the pipeline to extend this range even further.

The Farizon SV features seating for three occupants and offers two displays, including a dashboard-mounted unit for instrumentation and a central infotainment touchscreen. The van is also expected to come in additional variants, including seven- and nine-seat minibus configurations and a camper van model.

While pricing details are yet to be revealed, the Farizon SV is anticipated to offer competitive pricing compared to its rivals in the market. The van will be available in the UK through Jameel Motors, a Saudi Arabia-based distributor, with deliveries slated to begin in mid-2025.

As the electrification trend continues to gain momentum in the automotive industry, the introduction of the Farizon SV marks another step toward sustainable mobility solutions. With its versatile design, efficient battery options, and practical features, the Supervan is poised to make a significant impact in the electric commercial vehicle segment.
