The RS e-tron GT Performance marks Audi’s first fully electric RS model. It combines cutting-edge technology with the brand’s signature attention to detail. The car boasts two electric motors – one on each axle. The rear motor, newly developed for this model, churns out 556 horsepower. The front motor adds another 338 horsepower to the mix.

When Launch Control is activated, these motors work together to produce a staggering 925 horsepower. This power surge catapults the car from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds, according to Audi. However, early tests suggest it’s even quicker, with some runs clocking in at 2.4 seconds.

Audi didn’t just focus on raw power. They also worked on making the car more efficient. The rear motor is now lighter and more compact, shedding 22 pounds compared to earlier versions.

Powering this electric beast is a 105 kWh battery pack. It gives the car a range of up to 331 miles on a single charge. When it’s time to juice up, the RS e-tron GT Performance can handle up to 320 kW of charging power. This means you can charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.

To keep all this power in check, Audi developed a smart thermal management system. It carefully controls the temperature of the battery, motors, and interior. This allows for sustained high-performance driving without overheating.

The RS e-tron GT Performance isn’t just about straight-line speed. It’s designed to handle corners with precision too. The car comes with an advanced air suspension system as standard. For even sharper handling, buyers can opt for an active suspension system that controls each wheel individually.

Inside, the car is just as impressive. It features 18-way adjustable seats, matte carbon inlays, and eye-catching green stitching. Audi has also added some unique touches to set this model apart. The digital dashboard features white dials, a nod to the 1994 Audi Avant RS 2.

On the outside, the RS e-tron GT Performance sports some exclusive design elements. It can be ordered with a matte darkened carbon roof and carbon camouflage elements on various body parts. There’s also a new exterior color option called Bedford Green.

For those concerned about sustainability, Audi offers 21-inch tires made from 55% renewable materials. These tires not only boost performance but also reduce rolling resistance, helping to extend the car’s range.

All this technology and performance comes at a price. The RS e-tron GT Performance starts at €160,500 (about $180,000). Tick all the option boxes, and that price can climb to around €220,000.

Audi is also offering updated versions of the standard e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT. The S e-tron GT starts at €126,000, while the RS e-tron GT begins at €147,500.

This new model represents a significant milestone for Audi. It’s their first attempt at a high-performance electric car, and they’ve clearly pulled out all the stops. The RS e-tron GT Performance proves that the electric era of high-performance cars has truly arrived.

With its blend of cutting-edge technology, blistering performance, and luxurious features, the RS e-tron GT Performance sets a new benchmark in the electric car market. It’s a clear statement from Audi that they’re ready to lead in the electric future of automobiles.
