Mitsubishi is set to dazzle the automotive market with the 2025 Outlander, scheduled to launch in the US on February 24. This eagerly anticipated model brings a series of enhancements and updates that promise to captivate both loyal fans and new buyers.

Interior Enhancements and High-Tech Inclusions

The interior of the 2025 Outlander remains familiar yet refreshed. The centerpiece of these updates includes a redesigned center console with more convenient cup holders. New color schemes and materials infuse the cabin with a fresh ambiance. The sound experience gets a boost with a Yamaha audio system, renowned for its superior audio clarity. Mitsubishi also debuts the SiriusXM’s 360L satellite-streaming service in this model, delivering a modern on-the-go entertainment solution.

Exterior Styling: Subtle but Significant

Visually, the 2025 Outlander exhibits subtle styling changes. Expected updates include a refreshed grille, revamped lighting systems, and an updated palette of colors for a more striking road presence. Revised bumpers and improved NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) characteristics aim to improve the overall driving experience.

Under the Hood: Power and Efficiency

Beneath its refined exterior, the Outlander Plug-In Hybrid variant features a larger 22.7 kWh battery, complementing a bigger gas tank. These enhancements provide increased electric range, preparing the vehicle for both urban commutes and longer hauls. The revised suspension system and newly sourced tires contribute to the Outlander’s improved driving dynamics, while an impressive power output of 302 hp ensures robust performance.

Market Presence and Future Availability

Currently, the 2024 Outlander starts at $28,395, making it Mitsubishi’s top-selling vehicle in the US market. With sales figures reaching over 11,000 units in the last quarter, the Outlander continues to pave the brand’s success on American soil. The Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) version of the new model might see its stateside debut delayed until the 2026 model year, indicating Mitsubishi’s strategic planning to perfect its hybrid technology.
