The Heart of the Machine: A 750HP RB25 Conversion

The Testarossa ER34 Skyline, a personal project by Testarossa’s CEO, is a masterpiece of tuning excellence. Built for track days at Fuji Speedway, this ER34 is a culmination of meticulous craftsmanship and powerful engineering. The centerpiece is its 750-horsepower RB25-converted RB2.65 engine, which perfectly exemplifies Testarossa’s tuning expertise.

The engine features robust upgrades, including 87mm forged pistons, H-pattern connecting rods from HKS, and a factory RB26 crankshaft. TOMEI’s Procam with 272-degree duration and 10mm lift, paired with reinforced valve springs, ensures efficient power delivery. The custom intake manifold, surge tank, and exhaust manifold were sourced from Trust, while the throttle body came from Infiniti, showcasing premium part selection.

Monster Power Output with Precision Tuning

The turbo system comprises the Trust T78-33D turbine, which, combined with an F-CON V Pro unit, delivers precise control. At 1.6 bar of boost, the setup generates a staggering 750 PS, rivaling drag-spec vehicles in raw performance.

Weight Reduction to Maximize Agility

Weight plays a critical role in this ER34’s performance. By stripping away unnecessary interior comforts, soundproofing, and undercoating, the car’s weight has been scaled down to 1,250 kg (from the stock 1,410 kg). A minimalist cockpit ensures functionality, featuring a Stack gauge cluster for centralized monitoring. For safety, a 7-point bolt-in roll cage has been installed, accompanied by a Recaro Pro Racer seat for driver comfort and stability.

Handling Built for the Track

The suspension setup uses Apex N1 Damper Pro coilovers with 14 kg/mm front and 10 kg/mm rear spring rates for responsive handling. The exterior is enhanced with Nismo BNR34 front bumpers and a high-mounted GT wing, giving it an aggressive and aerodynamic appearance. Wide front and rear fenders accommodate 18-inch BBS LM wheels wrapped in Advan A048 tires (265/35-18), ensuring maximum traction on the track.

Beyond the GT-R: Lightweight and Cost-Effective

Testarossa’s CEO shared his motivation: while many might prefer modifying a GT-R as a starting point, the ER34’s lighter chassis and lower running costs (such as tire and oil expenses) make it an attractive alternative. Additionally, it provides a level of forgiveness when chasing lap times, as it is not directly compared to the GT-R’s reputation.
