Ram isn’t reinventing the wheel here. It doesn’t need to. The Rebel X package proved itself as a hit when it debuted for 2025, and now Stellantis is rolling it back for the 2026 Ram 1500 with the same formula that worked the first time around — plus a fresh coat of paint.
The centerpiece of the Rebel X remains Rough Road Cruise Control, a feature exclusive to this package within the entire Ram lineup. It’s a terrain-dependent adaptive cruise system designed specifically for off-road use, operating at speeds up to 20 mph with adjustable steering weight and adaptive throttle control. Think of it as low-speed crawl assistance with a brain.
To get the Rebel X, you’ll need a Ram 1500 Rebel fitted with the Level 2 Equipment Group and the twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six Hurricane engine. That powerplant has already proven its worth — Ram took home MotorTrend’s 2025 Truck of the Year award partly on the strength of it.

On the outside, the package delivers “Rebel X” bedside graphics along with the Rebel’s standard off-road hardware. That means a 1-inch suspension lift, Bilstein monotube shocks front and rear, front tow hooks, an electric locking differential, skid plates, and black 18-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain rubber. New for 2026 is a color option called Tank Clear-Coat, which should appeal to buyers who want something moodier than the usual palette.
Step inside and you get leather/vinyl bucket seats with red accent stitching, a leather-wrapped shifter, paddle shifters on the steering wheel, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and a “Rebel X” console badge encased in glass. That last detail is a small touch, but it signals that Ram understands the kind of buyer drawn to this truck — someone who wants the rugged credentials but appreciates a bit of theater.
The Level 2 Equipment Group sweetens the deal further with larger screens, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and an interactive display for the front passenger. This is not a stripped-down trail rig. It’s a fully loaded half-ton that happens to come ready for dirt.
Pricing starts at $71,930, which puts it firmly in premium truck territory. That’s a lot of money for a half-ton pickup, but the market has spoken. Buyers want loaded trucks with off-road capability and luxury interiors, and they’re willing to pay for the combination.
Ram is taking orders now. If the 2025 version is any indication, the Rebel X won’t sit on dealer lots for long. Stellantis read the room, kept what worked, and added just enough newness to justify another year. Sometimes the smartest move in the truck game is knowing when not to mess with a good thing.
